I have had experience with Strive Physical Therapy shortly after its inception when my young daughter was in need of PT services after an accident in Italy. After her surgery abroad, she needed to begin PT services. Mark and Eric took on her very difficult case. While accommodating her school schedule, they gave her care that went above and beyond. They worked on strengthening her ankle, breaking up scar tissue, and preparing her for subsequent surgeries. Fast forward 10 years later, when I had a knee injury, and it was determined that I was too young for a knee replacement. The PT I was given at Strive allowed me to get to the point where I could lead a relatively pain free life until the time I finally needed to replace my knee.
Through the years, I have been given 5 star treatment, from the owners, to the directors, PT assistants and office staff. I have never entertained going anywhere else ( I lasted a week when a doctor recommended another facility before I knew I was free to go where I chose). They set the bar so high that going anywhere else was not an option.
The personal attention ranks highest on my list. The therapists ask questions, listen to what you are saying, and proceed accordingly. They are aware of my difficulties, and always have a plan. I am NEVER just greeted and told to do exercises unattended. Even when I am doing some things on my own, I see them watching me, and sometimes correcting me. I have never gone to a therapy session when I did not personally spend time with my own therapist, as I have often heard happens to my friends at other places. If I have a flare up, I am worked in the schedule and am given extra sessions until it is resolved. Scheduling is never an issue because, although they are always booked, they find ways to squeeze me in as long as we are all flexible.
My one wish is all physicians see the value that a good PT has. I have been fortunate enough to choose physicians that do value them, which makes a positive outcome so much easier.
Currently, I am in therapy with Dr. Veronica Clark, Director of Strive Mt. Laurel. I researched who I wanted to use, and her name consistently popped up. Total strangers told me they sought her out because of outcomes of other patients. She is dedicated, knowledgable, and committed to a therapy plan rooted in success. Her advanced education and constant continuing education gives me the confidence that I will have a successful outcome, because therapy done right is not easy, and neither is she!. Her dedication goes beyond clinic hours (who emails you. on a Sunday during a snowstorm to ask you to change your appointment so you don't risk a set-back)?
I wish I had a nickel for every person that tells me they hate going to therapy. I tell them they are going to the wrong place.
This review is written from first hand experience and from the heart because Strive has helped so many of my family members. Although people move on, different clinics specialize in different areas, the one thing that remains the same is their commitment to personal attention to each and every patient.
