Leanne graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 2004 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, Minor in Biology, where she also played Varsity Soccer. She went on to receive her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2006. After moving to New Jersey in 2015, she continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017.
Leanne has gained 13 years of clinical experience working mostly in an Orthopedics/Private Practice setting, treating patients with a broad scope of musculoskeletal injuries including neck and back pain, post-op knee arthroscopy and ACL Reconstructions. She worked for 2 years in Canada and then moved to Bermuda, where she continued her career working for two of the island's orthopedic surgeons for 7 years. She has travelled with national level women's soccer teams for Bermuda and Guyana for World Cup Qualifiers in Haiti, Mexico and Guyana as their team Physical Therapist. She also was a member of the Bermuda Women's National Soccer team who won a gold medal at the 2013 NatWest Island Games. She has taken post graduate courses in manual therapy, myofascial release, vestibular rehabilitation, and kinesiotaping, earning her designation as a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner in 2013. She is currently working on obtaining her certification in LSVT BIG and looking to expand her knowledge in other areas of neurological rehabilitation.
Leanne lives in Matawan, NJ with her husband and 1-year old daughter and still enjoys playing soccer recreationally along with taking yoga and travelling.
