Amanda graduated from Widener University, class of 2010, with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.  Amanda is full body certified in Active Release Techniques for lower extremity, upper extremity and spinal injuries. She is also a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner.  Amanda has begun training in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy/Mckenzie, a specialization in treatment for conditions of the spine and extremities.  She has a strong, growing interest in manual orthopedic therapy and aspires to pursue her certification in the McKenzie Method as well as obtaining her Orthopedic Specialist Certification.  At Widener, she participated in a research study involving the effects of hippotherapy (a form of physical and occupational therapy in which a therapist uses the characteristic movements of a horse to provide carefully graded motor and sensory input) on community engagement for children with cerebral palsy.
